Frankenstein, MD

Characters: Any (Victoria Frankenstein, Eli Lavenza, Iggy DeLacey, Robert Walton)

This is one of my favorite Frankenstein adaptations ever. I love that Victoria is every bit as much of an arrogant, irresponsible asshole as Victor was in Shelley’s novel but she still has motivations for creating the creature beyond hubris, and I love the relationships between all of the characters, and I love that not a single person in this canon seems capable of making a good decision, ever.

Fandom-specific DNWs: AUs other than canon divergence, PWP

Ships: Victoria/Eli/Rory, both as a threesome or in any combination as a pair

Some potential ideas:

• What was Victoria’s friendship with Robert like? She reacts really strongly to his death and obviously cared about him, but we never get to see what their relationship looked like on-screen, and I think that would be a fun thing to explore.

• Pre-canon Iggy and Victoria: How did they become friends? What kind of crazy science shenanigans did they get up to before they started the show?

• Missing scene(s) where Iggy and Dr. Waldeman help creature!Robert. I’d especially be interested in seeing this from Iggy’s POV.

• What’s the story with Eli and the gummy worms?!

• I see a lot of possibilities for what ifs with this canon. What if Rory or Eli lived? What if Eli were killed before Rory? What if Robert never died at all? What if Victoria stayed with creature!Robert that first night instead of running away with Iggy? What if Victoria and Iggy did create a second creature? What if Dr. Waldeman had an actual sense of scientific ethics and tried to stop Victoria?

Spider-Gwen

Characters: Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson

I am so in love with the series. It’s everything I never knew I wanted in Marvel what if. I love Gwen’s frankness and her terrible puns and that she recognizes when she’s making bad decisions but still makes them anyway. I love that MJ fronts a band and is protective of her friends and consistently calls Gwen on her bullshit. I love every single thing about the Mary Janes.

I ship Gwen/MJ pretty hard, so if you wanted to write me shipfic for them, that would be awesome, but I also dig their dynamic as friends and would be delighted by gen, as well.

Fandom-specific DNWs: unambiguously sad/hopeless endings

Some potential ideas:

• Band drama! I seriously cannot get enough of Gwen’s superheroing interfering with her obligations to the Mary Janes. 

• I am always here for tropey Gwen/MJ get-together fic.

• That annual trip to Aunt Anna’s lake house is just begging for a "cabin in the woods" cliche-ridden horror treatment.

• A villain!Gwen AU could be really fun.

Zombies, Run!

Characters: Amelia Spens, Zoe Crick

I’m completely fascinated by the little bits of Amelia and Zoe’s relationship that we get from canon. They claim to dislike each other (and clearly get off on telling each other how much they dislike each other), but Zoe also says she isn’t interested in checking out the meerkat sanctuary guys because she’s seeing Amelia, which implies a level of exclusivity that doesn’t quite jive with a just in it for the hatesex relationship. Canon leaves a lot of room for what they might actually be to one another, and I would love any exploration of that. If you can work in Zoe’s friendship with Phil, even better.

If you’re not feeling Amelia/Zoe, I would also be delighted by anything Amelia-focused, with or without Zoe. I adore her particular brand of unapologetic selfishness and love seeing it action.

Ships: In addition to Amelia/Zoe, I love all of the canon ships, Sam/Five, and Lou/every female character, so feel free to include any of those if you’d like

 

Some potential ideas:

• Amelia and Zoe's first time. How does it happen? Does either of them think at the time it might be more than a one-off?

• Either or both of Amelia and Zoe catching feelings after they start sleeping together. What do feelings even look like for the two of them? How does Zoe deal with having feelings for someone everyone else in her life hates? How does Amelia deal with even having a feeling other than disdain for another human being?

• Amelia and Zoe trapped together in a small space, waiting out a passing zombie horde. This would be great either before or after they're hooking up.
  
• Amelia during the early days of the outbreak. Was she as wholly self-serving then as she is when we meet her in canon, or is that something that happened over time as a result of the outbreak? Did she lose anyone? Did she even have anyone to lose?
